Okira's Web Page

My name is Okira Peralta. I am a freshman student at Thomas Edison High School. I am 14 years old. I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and moved to New York when I was about 2 years old. I don't remember anything at all about Las Vegas. But my parents and people that have lived there say it's beautiful. I plan to go back anytime soon. Even though I'm American, my parents are from the Dominican Republic. I also have family and ancestors from Italy, Spain, Puerto Rico and Europe.

I have many goals for the future. One of my dreams is to become either a broadcaster, tv host or a magazine editor. I would love to be something like an MTV VJ. If I can't be an MTV VJ, any other show dealing with music or movie stars would be fine with me. If I don't become a broadcaster or tv show host, I'd like to write in magazines that also include music or movie stars. The main reason is because I love anything dealing with the media, especially music. Music means a lot to me. I like many types of music, but my favorite is pop. My favorite artists are the Backstreet Boys, Ricky Martin, Sting, Third Eye Blind, Destiny's Child,Lenny Kravitz, Krystal Harris, Faith Hill and many many more.

I am a huge fan of the Backstreet Boys. I've been a fan for about 4 years. I love them like crazy. I've gone to 3 concerts so far. And everytime they come to New York I follow them around to places like MTV Studios or the CBS Early Show. Some people might think I'm obbsessed, but I don't think I am. I'm just a big fan who loves their music and supports them. I've never really met the Backstreet Boys, but the closest I've ever been to one of them is about 6 or 7 feet. Another one of my goals is to meet these 5 gorgeous guys.
